Ella Storseter
Ella’s Scholar students

Hi, I am Ella Storseter, and I am a senior at the University of California at Santa Cruz. I study Biotechnology and Italian and I’ve always had a passion for teaching. This enthusiasm was further ignited through teaching internships at UCSC.
During these experiences, I loved providing a supportive space where students feel comfortable asking questions and receiving guidance without distractions. I think giving students the time and attention they need to thrive academically is important. This led me to start my tutoring business, as I wanted to create a dedicated environment where learning could be personalized and focused, giving each student the unique tools to succeed.

First Session: What to expect?

To make the most of our first session, I’ll ask for information about the subject and specific concepts the student needs help with during our consultation. This way, I can come prepared with materials and strategies tailored to their needs. Our first session will begin with a quick discussion where I’ll explain my teaching methods and learn about the student’s learning style and strategies. This helps me adjust my approach to fit their preferences. From there, we’ll dive straight into the work at hand—whether it’s an assignment, study session, or specific concept—ensuring the student feels supported and confident right away
